nice detailed figure Gordon. Perhaps I can see it at SMC Eindhoven.

He is standing at ease on parade. A friend's son was ensign at last year's Trooping the Colour (http://www.planetfigure.com/threads...coldstream-guards-officer.106500/#post-885390) and I'm inclined to add a Colour belt but no Colour (Ensign for the Colour - belt but has not yet received the Colour, Ensign to the Colour - has received and is bearing the Colour).

I'm trying to work out how to do the colour. There are over forty battle honours on each side, each on a small scroll.

The flag would look very nice Mike but quite a daunting undertaking.

I can 'sculpt' most of the details, but the repetitive nature of the battle honours made me wonder if I could get the 'scrolls' in thin etched brass, the modeller would have to paint in the battles by hand, but with the colour partially folded, this might not be as bad as it sounds..



Still mulling over the options!

Subaltern now done with a bronzed finish (black undercoat, Ford Roman Bronze and Humbrol satin varnish).



Ensign for the Colour will be painted and I am working on the Colour.
