Special Ops Models #MNS-901B (Bust) conversion.

I decided to take the #MNS-109B (Bust) Navy Seal Iraq/Afghanistan and the #SFS-922 (Bust) Special Forces Sniper Afghanistan and convert to an updated Special Forces bust.

I first took the Seal head and cut off the helmet and helmet straps. Then cut off the Special Forces hat and headphones strap. Combined the two for a new head.

Scratch built a M203 40 mm grenade launcher for the M4A1 rifle. Made 40 mm rounds for the M203.

Altered left arm and hand to hold a 40 mm round.

Made a belt to hold the 40 mm rounds.

Used Camel back water system from SF kit.

    Figured painted with acrylics.

Wonderful work Nick, love your work on the weapon, great job.
Like the way you use paint to enhance the material on his tunic and armour.
    Super job.
Could it be made even better with a small touch of sand "dust"?

I like your alterations, very well done with the addition of the grenades etc. I have these two superb figures as well and want to do a conversion, just not sure as to what at the moment

Thanks Scott, Ben, and Gells! The 40 mm rounds were made by pushing Magic Sculpt through a piece of brass tube. Then cut and sanded one end round. Took real thin lead sheet and wrapped around it for the case. It took some time but came out OK.

Good conversion, and quite uncommon to see a figure reloading.....

Making the grenade rounds was a nice idea, adds to the figure!

Photos seem a bit yellow on my screen, so that's skewing my colour....

Neat conversion, seeing as you reached for the say to cut and swap!
    Cheers!

Thanks Jamie! I think the lighting caused the pictures to yellow. I need to get a better light system.
