velvet is done maybe some more light to be added to increase the contrast but quite good. It's time to make the embroideries

Re Murat's horse, I would favour an iron grey rather than a pure white (if there is such a thing), the darker dappling would give more colour contrast. Great piece of work overall though.

I discover a mistake I did sculpting a skirt... and I modified the lower part...the yellow putty are the new version

in the mean time I started to paint the embroideries. Wasn't so easy to define the drawing because not clear and I needed to invent something conform to the period decoration...

not finished the previous figures but a new figure is galloping fast...

    a mamluk charging at Austerlitz.
an Eisembach horse with a casting resin head has been assembled to fix a full gallop position.
rider is a conversion of the metal modeles mamluk officer with an expressive Figurinitaly head

I agree wholeheartedly;I've said the same on several occasions, Richard,.....maybe a groundswell of opinion will spur Ivo to do it ?(y)

Time to join the “me too” chorus that Ivo ought to write a book. The Mameluke is magnificent even before being touched by the brushes!
