WIP Murat Aboukir 1799

    as you know I like to reproduce famous painting in miniatures. It's the time of a project that was in my shelf since many years

    it's Murat at Aboukir during the Egiptian campaign [IMG]

    the hrse comes from Metal Modeles range and is converted from the mameluck horse. Neck has been sculted and the horse's head is a resin copy of an old Phoenix ( converted)

    the guy head was sculpted for Elisen many years ago but I continue to consider it the better available on the market, legs MM plus milliput Terracotta the other parts

    I don't remember the silver, I've the white ad it isn't really different from the white. It has a good and visible colour

    Another great figure from the master. That is a nice face. An old Elisen figure you say? Are they still available? I didn't find any using Google.

    Brilliant work as ever. Very interesting to see your sculpting process. I assume that the figure and horse are one piece and that you will paint them together without taking them apart?
