NCO Historex have just announced the sad passing of
Pierre Conrad 'Le Trompette' who amongst many other accomplishments was known for his great work with Uniformes magazine and Le Briquet.

Cannot say that I knew much of his work.
But it is always sad to hear of a person in the hobby passing.

Another great joins the Pantheon of Greats. I had the pleasure of meeting Pierre only once, and in my broken 'schoolboy ' French said how much we all enjoyed his work.
I recall he was most gracious, a true 'gentilhomme'. My sincere condolencies to his family and many friends.

Very sad to hear this,his prints were probably the best napoleonic prints ever produced.

Sad to hear of M. Conrad's passing. I have always thought his prints were the best Napoleonic prints available.
