Metal Modeles - General Compans 54mm

    A 54mm of Compans recently completed. I amy redo his overcoat. Bicorne gold lace and General of Division tunic lace added free hand. Acrylics and inks.

    Outstanding work Colin. Looks brilliant scaled up so must be something to see at scale.
    The face is superb.
    Anyway enough plaudits....your choice of groundwork is rubbish;)(y)

    Goodness you are all over the scales and a fine result ...ref coat ..perhaps paint the gloves a different colour ?

    Again the freehand work is great to see .

    How did you get the frost effect, was it the natural mineral content of the sand or did you add to it.

    Colin, Excellent job!(y) You nailed the overcoat, jacket! Love your facial tones and the way you pulled off the lace and waist sash. You made the 54mm outstanding! Appreciate you sharing with the site members. Always enjoy your work!

    Thanks all. Del, the frost effect is some unknown maker's snow product painted over the groundwork with diluted white glue.

    Face ... WOW!
    Freehand work ... WOW!
    I've just scaled it down to 54mm (approx) on the screen, which gives an idea of what you were actually working on.
    That resulted in a double WOW!
