Magnifying lens options

I need help with determining which type of magnification option is better. I bought one of those
lighted magnifying lenses with legs to work with. I don't believe that works very well as when I started
practice painting a 120mm spare head from an Alpine Miniature I gave the poor slob puppy dog eyes that are about twice the size of what they should be ... lol

Anyway I was thinking of purchasing the wearable magnifiers and was wondering if that would be a better choice as I had problems determining my brush-to-figure distance with the stupid thing and wound up giving him those awful eyeballs...

    thanks in advance

I'd highly recommend Optivisor headband.I use the 2.5 x lense but you can get different strengths. They're a bit more expensive than some of the other ones you can get, but they're money well spent as they're better quality.I've had mine for over 20 years.Check out Amazon.

It will probably take a bit of time to get used to them.I couldn't live without mine.
