Well it is a beautiful figure that represents a brigadista during his intervention in the Spanish Civil War.
The figure is a launch made every year by the Modelismo de Almeria Association.
I started with a base with a brush in acrylic and then oils.

Reminded of a favourite film, Land and Freedom. Many Canadians were with the International Brigade. Shunned at home, socialists, artists, intellectuals..the first to stand up against fascism..

Interesting subject that does not get enough coverage given their place in history.

Exactly. If you can find the movie it’s well worth a watch...

Aside from the obligatory high fives, sorting the provenance seems rather important.

It is the same figure, modeled by Christophe Camillote and painted by Andres Bernal Martinez.
It is a special figure of Almeria Modelismo, a Spanish club and beautiful figure that comes out in a small amount just to help the club with the expenses.
any more data that they want or they accuse me of pirate directly?

Certainly a nice looking figure and a great start on the painting ,

I like seeing the Almera work and it is a highly respected club and it's fantastic group of modellers to say the least

you clearly say it's the same sculptor/figure so no provenance needed in a later post

So enjoy the painting and share the progress

No charges, but it had been forgotten to mention that this figurines had been sculpted by Christophe Camilotte.
For the record I remind that Christophe left us last Christmas.
This figurine is one of the last carved by him.
For information, Raymond confirmed that this figurine was offered to the Almeria club to help them.
Do not forget to specify where we can buy this figure.

    Hi Guys

Thanks ZC a sad loss to our hobby when he passed away ...no doubt he is sat at his bench sculpting looking at us all enjoying the figure .

As ZC says all confirm original info , the same goes for references ...give credit to the author .

The SCW is a great history subject to look at and we should see more releases

Happy bench time ne and all

Hello colleagues, today I could be a few hours more with the painting of the figure.
I work in clothes with acrylics and waiting to paint boots and a small scene, the figure will work a little more shadows.
    hope you like.
