Dear all, any and all comments welcone as usual.

This is a gem of a figure, if anybody has this in their grey army they're committing a sin by not painting him. Such is the quality of this kit, it just flowed and I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I know my pictures are rubbish. It seems to be a trait of digital photos, the coat is darker in real life, especially in the deepest shadows.

    Thanks as always.

Good rendition of this fine sculpt BP.
I painted this a while ago and I have to say it's a great figure but not the easiest to paint.
Well done to you for this good brushwork.

Nice rendition. The only suggestion I might make is to give it a shot of Dullcoat or other matt clear finish to eliminate that sheen it currently has.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Dear Mike - I was waiting for you as I know obviously, it's a favourite of yours. That irritating sheen is not there in real life, or if it is, it's magnified by the photography. I will re-examine it though to make sure. As always, thanks for the feedback.(y)

The sword isn't the original either - it's an old Airfix one. I got the kit on ebay and it was incomplete...

In fact, looking again, the whole thing is brighter in the picture somehow...

maybe that's why we see so many dull looking figures at shows - they're paintined to look good in photos.

Great painting of a very nice figure. I am with you on digital photos as an oil painter all my figures come out with a shine that is not there in real life.
