I am sure they are made by someone..guessing Sennelier...but EG repackages from big vats..well,some large size...I’ve thought to ask the maker, but then figured that would be cheating ...so I bought from them and shall continue to...are they superior to acrylic metallics, or molotow sticks? Probably not..but I just like mixing them with oil colours and getting interesting effects

Started playing with bits of metal...some ugly pink lips...ears...EG only had silver and copper when I ordered, so I mix a worn and burnished effect..it’s what I call,sketching...folk a bit here and there, try to keep my thumbs out of the way..and keep it loose..I haven’t the eyesight due age and disease to get too detailed and don’t thin my paints...so loose sketching keeps me going. Trying new things keeps me learning. It’s trial and error as it’s not as tho I can take a seminar, but I figure it’s healthy to wake up full of ideas and excitement ..And anticipation as to what others are doing...
One part of me wishes I had come across this approach forty years ago...the other part says looking back serves no purpose, let’s see what I can do today

Bit more here and there..nothing refined yet..with oils can pull things together ..can’t explain why, but I can make a start on bloodying an axe and lopped head, but can’t abide much in the way of military symbolism as represented in various uniforms. Actually I can explain..but doubt anyone would be intersted 31AAE521-9620-44A6-9449-DFC4A362841C.jpeg

I like what you have done with this. Can you give some more info on Mirico. Might be interested in this one myself.

They have a site, Mirico.sg...some neat stuff..RIco is the name of the guy behind it..figurementors has some reviews of one or two pieces ...a lot of fantasy is small scale, perhaps coming from gaming..so this line stands out as being “proper” scale..
