Nice Job. Black is a hard color to work with at times. I especially like the horn and the groundwork. Maybe a cross On his tunic and shield would be that little bit extra that would really enhance an already nice figure. The black on the back looks a little glossy, but that may be the picture. Keep up the work ans thanks for sharing.

Very interesting piece. Alex. Who makes it? It's hard to see the shading in the photograph, but the overall effect is great. Metal and leather work is excellent, as is the groundwork! Nice job.

I agree with Brad that the piece might benefit from some heraldry on the shield and possibly the tunic to break up the monotone effect of the black. I'd also recommend some shading on the folds in chain mail and brushing on some flat coat to reduce any shine on the tunic. Still, a great piece.

    Hello guys,

    Thank you for your comments.

To say the truth, I forget his sword when I went to a friend to photograph the figure.

Now when I look at the figure me too I think that it needs a mat coat. On photographs his tunic looks glossy.

The figure was sculpted by a Russian miniaturist, Andrei Bleskin. I think that it sold only painted, like this http://www.aeroartinc.com/display.asp?product=3323.1
