The figure is well painted and converted.

But I'm surprised that he highlighted the red jacket where the shield is. Shouldnt it stay dark, shadowed? Mistery lol !

That's true but let's call it an artist's licence...or not?

This could be justified if the light was coming from a horizontal direction on the right of the figure as we look at it . But then the shield should have totally different shadowing and highlighting

    Hi,

    here something "technically" interesting :

Normally the sunlight reflects on the grass ground. That means that some green reflection lights some of the deep lower shadows of the shield and jacket.

Wont it give an amazing rendition to have some "green" in a very little amount in some of the lower shadows?
That would connect the ground and the figure together !!!!

I just wanted to post this, because I'm working on that kind of theory and technic now :)

Maybe he painted it darker before the shield was glued on the figure.
Nobody can tell us that more then Luca.
For what i can see in the picture's now is that he did the correct lightning. In the first picture you are right, he highlighted this part. But we cannot say that it is still lighted. The shield is blocking this part for our eyes.
