Well, here is a project I have been working on.... Legends and Lore 1/9 scale bust of "Outlaw Josey Wales". The kit is basically terrible except for the face. I had to scratch build the colt walkers and do a considerable amount of work on the hat, the hands, and the bust itself. Finally got to a point to paint... so the painted face is just the beginnings of the work.... But I'm sure you will get the idea. Btw, the kit is from a company that is long gone....

You've depressed me now - I still have this kit to build. :notworthy:
Still, the face is a good likeness. Clint isn't easy to get right - I never thought the Andrea or Fistful of Resin versions nailed it

    Hi Matt
Nice job on the colt walkers & face, I painted this bust a few years ago & encountered the same problems as you, I had to rebuild the the pistols too, but ElGreco's or Steve Reedie now produce a colt that would do the job, to anyone who has this rare bust to paint, don't give up on it due to it's poor quality sculpting as it's well worth the effort to stick at it.
    Cheers

    Matt,
We can call this one "Extreme Makeover" considering what came out of the box. Looks like a photo of Clint.

    Nice!
Its too bad L&L couldn't seem to put out a well done sculpt, as some of their subjects were very unique and interesting. I gave up after the first couple I tried. Fool me once...then twice...
