    These are mostly Australian revisions and versions of British designs, but some are originals; each was manufactured in Australia. For example, take a look at the ammunition holders rounded design on the 1915 Australian field equipment - unlike the Canadian or any of the UK ammo container designs produced during the war. The leather Australian ammunition holders went through five variants including field tests. The photos of the 1915_set are I believe the final production versions. British 1903 ammunition holders and bandoleers were also made in Australia and issued to their forces. For gas protection, the Australian army used the British PH gas mask and later the British small box respirator.
