Yesterday I start to "paint" my new lacrosse player. I have made the "mesh" and use 0,3 and 0,1 mm copper wire for it. Not the best result, but ....;)

Hi Roger. Thanks. I have a such mesh here, but, if you look on the photo attached, no chance to get the 0,3 mm copper wire correct trough the holes.

"...no chance to get the 0,3 mm copper wire correct trough the holes."

So, they don't produce the mesh in smaller gauge wire, small enough to secure the wire through the holes in the sides of the racket?

I admit it might be an even trickier and more fiddly way of making the basket fit the racket. Even then, you'd have to figure out a way to make the basket squares a bit uneven in size. Nifty, cool and really original subject!

    All the best,
    Dan

Mesh would be inaccurate for the figure involved...gut was used.
I have a replica stick made by the Seneca Indians on a reservation near where I live.
Surgical thread might work...with alot of time and post constrction libations.
I have this figure an it is a beauty.

BTW...great references can be found in Robert Griffings works "The Player" and "Before the Game". The appear in Griffings book "The Art of Robert Griffing...His Journey into the Eastern Frontier" P56.
Uhlrich has manage to cast the basic stick marvelously well.

Kevin: I have both books from Robert Griffung. I like nearly all of his paintings and Alan starts to make the next ones for me and my shop ;)
