I like that a lot. Subject matter and composition both very unusual.

Never been a fan of the part vehicle, is it wedges they call them? However, this makes a very attractive and effective display base.

Wedgies Graham. I know what you mean. Sometimes they can work and help to tell a story, but sometimes they can look a bit odd.

The figure is sculpted by Nino Pizzichemi.

Nino shared the pictures with me earlier this year and I remarked how good the scene was. It's one I'll definitely be adding to my collection of Nino's figures ;)

Sorry for a second post, but, this made me think of a piece I saw some time ago in a set of "Euro Photos". Didn't someone do something similar some years ago with German soldiers in a box car waving/looking out the windows? It wasn't a commercial piece, but a piece at Euro?? ....I believe it was the same modeler that did the guys jumping from the basket of the observation balloon (also a piece at Euro some years ago)? I can't remember his name but it was something like Marin van Gils.(??) I apologize if I got the name messed up. I've been 'googling' for a half hour trying to find pics of those pieces.

in any case this one here is really cool and will definitely be in my collection too.
