I'm going quite stylised with this so it's very early days yet. the female basemesh is just to get something in pose but will be changed a fair bit.

I'm loosely basing it on this concept by Magnus Noren


but i want it a little more in the style that i've previously done. Here's where i'm at so far:

Thanks s much for the kind words and encouragement, guys! It's the first woman i've attempted and things, erm... seem a little more difficult than sculpting a chunky bloke.

I'm concentrating on the jetpack at the minute and the design on the rear is starting to come together - Tonight's progress:

For all intents and purposes, the jetpack is done for now. I plan to revisit on a final details pass but, for now, onwards to the girl sculpt!

Just a last little update before i start the final jobs list!
New additions are gloves/corset/chair fastenings/basic torso clothes-horse remodelling.

did i say final jobs??? wow, that was an understatement! xD

The torso has been sort of blocked in and ideas fleshed out. I don't want her to but she's beginning to look life some kind of Luftwaffe test pilot. I really want her to be RFC or RAF!

The angle has been changed to make it feel more dynamic and it's probably not going to stay there. there's also a ton of little details to add here and there. The last 10% takes 90% of the time, so the adage goes...

Wooooow. Awesome work. It really gets a great feeling ... Very well done Andrew, this is a gem! Keep it up!

It's been a huge journey and i've learned a ton.. and learned a ton about how i handle things, too. There've been so many takeaways from this sculpt that i need a small time to practice and write down what i've learned before the next one.

Hey Helm,
Thanks for the kind words! It was just a personal piece to practice technique but i am thinking of dong a small run of prints. The only issue is that the concept artist isn't responding and i can't/won't go any further without his involvement.
If it ever comes to pass that we do manage to do a run, i'll post it up here and as a new thread.
