Hi Guys, just some info on this from our FB page.

    Thanks for looking in(y)

"Our latest club collaboration, an homage to the past glory days of the British Aircraft Industry.
This is an idea that has developed over a few months, sparked from Paul Millward. Painting and ground work by Paul Millward. Plinth, gravestones and wooden base by Steve Leadley, scratch-built poppy wreathes and crosses by Heather Burton.
This was done as a specialist piece as we will be judging the model section of the Staffordshire wing ATC day. We feel honoured that we have been asked to do this, and look forward to seeing what the next generation of modellers have to offer."

Thanks Ralph - I think it would have overfaced one person, but as a collaboration, it's worked! There are over 500 individual grass tufts and flowers on this, alone!!

    Very Nice Steve,
The Gray haired senile old git came out in me.
I'd got it into my head it was a memorial for the crews
that gave their lives in those particular aircraft.
    Got it wrong again dad.
    But still very nice indeed.

Thanks Keith and Mick - I suppose its open to anyone's interpretation - that's the intention, really. There are 24 former manufacturers mentioned, some of which were swallowed up by others, but there were many more - the fact that many of these aircraft were much loved by their crews and these aircraft bought many airman home safely, is all part of the concept. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I think we shall bring this one to FW, so you can see it , warts and all!!(y)
