    Excellent job.
I wanted to start something similar after I finished the gems that I'm nearly finished.
This is just a great inspiration.

Realy excellent,I like the way the tartan has been toned down and looks lived in.Just one small point I think at that time it was more likely to be a clay pipe:)

There really isn't anything wrong with this bust at all. I love the tartan and the worn leather. I looked at the flesh colours and thought "Would I use this mix"? and came away with the answer "Yes I would". He lives out in the wild open areas of Scotland and he would have a battered weathered face and it suits this bust perfectly. Well done.

That's a cracker, I can see Pete's point about the pipe but it's also possible he might have whittled himself a pipe which would be more durable.
    Thanks, Scotty.

Great job. Superb painting throughout and the tartan is brilliantly done.
George's point about the pipe is absolutely accurate. The pistol in particular dates the character and the clay pipe was used pretty much exclusively at that time. The Briar pipe wasn't made until well into the 19th century.
    Top quality (y)

I like the leather work on the bust as well as the color scheme. Highlander looks one tough old fellow. Just the type that would have
fought the British at Culloden. Would love it if my Highlander turned out this good!

    Thanks for sharing!

    thank you very much !!;)

You 're right for the pipe, I would better paint a clay pipe in order to be more historical...
