    Hi all!

I've just started this wonderful figure from Beneito. The pose and the details are top class!

I started with the face and skin. For the base I've mixed brown sand with some red and english uniform. Lights with basic flesh and shadows with burnt cadmium red. Glaces with red, orange, purple and blue. All from Vallejo Model Color

Some advances. The beard with different browns and the shirt, with pastel green. I'm progressing slowly. Too many businesses

Some advances with the flag. I used airbrush for the yellow, but had to retouch with the brush as I'm new with this instrument from the devil!!!
    The groundwork is also done!

Finished at 99%. Some corrections are needed but it will be more or less like this. Hope you like it

I have a question for all of you regarding pigments. With this figure I tried dusting the figure with pigments and have used pigment fixer (from ammo mig) over them. But after it has dried I have found that in some places it has left a glossy finish!! So I will have to use matt barnish over it :(
Any advice on how to use the pigment fixer???

Excellent paint and presentation Fernando,..great background for photo also.Vallejo makes a matt additive but it needs to be added before painting; matt varnish sometimes isn't completely flat. For me I use Testors dull coat on top of a couple a thin coats of matt varnish.......Keep up the good work....

Superb painting on the uniform and the face is lovely.
I have never really fixed the powders with pigment fixer, as I have found they adhere without it.

Fernando ..... great work on a figure by one of the consistently best producers out there.
I've always been a fan of Beneito figures from back when they attended Euro Militaire.
They're not the easiest to paint but the rewards for the painter are evident in your work, a superb piece (y)

Gracias Super Anto! La camisa me dio bastantes quebraderos de cabeza. Con las cartucheras no he quedado muy satisfecho...
