    Hi folks

This is my version of the recently released 1/9th Bust from Mitches Military Models of Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann from the movie "Full Metal Jacket".

He is painted in acrylics throughout and mounted on a homemade base. I hope you like him.

Nice work Andrew. You clearly spent some time researching the service ribbons to make sure you got all of them correct. Well done on bring Gunny Hartman back to life. What a character!!

Thanks chaps. I appreciate you stopping by for a look.

Tony the ribbons were a project in themselves but they turned out ok. They were a bit more vibrant before a matt coat. Didn't have much luck trying the "dot" technique but some other things went well on this one.

Thanks Nap. I'm by no means an expert on the medals on display.

This is what I based my reference on, I just tried to paint what I saw.

There are some differences on some pictures found online so I settled on the pics above and went forward.

I can pick most of them out of this image.

Great references. These are the specific ones for Gunny Hartmann.
