    Hi, folks!
Our friend Terry (toy4x4) had the good idea that we could use a general discussion thread for the course. Here, we can talk about general things concerning the course, like the shipments issues from Spain to US we were talking about in other place, for example...
    So, here it is!

I'm really replying to a post in Fernando's thread so we can discuss it here.

I have not received it in Tulsa, Ok and i know Meehan has not and he is in the area. Of course I've only received mail two days since last Tuesday because we have been pounded by snow. Add in Meehan's comment in another thread about the slow Custom's inspections and I am not surprised.

I'm not too worried as we have a couple weeks between steps and I know I can get caught up easily even if this takes several more weeks for the figure to show up.

Have not received it yet in Missouri.

If any of you could provide me some dimensions of the figure I could move forward with the ground on the base. All I need is height, width between feet, width from foot to foot (outside egde) and length of the wooden weapon.

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    PK

Well, I suggest you better wait. It's a bit risky to put work on something that depends greatly on the feel you'll only have with the miniature in your hands. Don't worry, I'll keep in mind the delay and do all my best to help the US fellows.

    Ola FeR,

thanks for the update. After getting over being completely intimidated at first, I now really want to start.

However, there's something to sort out before I can start. My main problem with acrylics has always been the blending. Blocking the highlights and shadows is the part of the concept that I understand. But from your update I cannot make up how to blend the various tones and shades. Can you enlighten me here, please ?

    Hi!
I've answered your question in my "instructor" thread. As it contains useful information, I prefer it to be ther with the rest of the steps.
    Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks for the addition FeR. I didn't want to mess up the SBS, that's why I put my question here ;).

    Hello Fernando,

I've a hard time figuring out what the mixtures of your pallet are.
This is how I interpret your pallet.
    Is this correct?

    Hi
    Your guess is almost right.
From left to right and up to down:

    Khaki + Orange Brown (basemix)
    Basemix + Burnt Red Cadmiun
Previous shadow mix + Burnt Red Cadmiun
    Pure Burnt Red Cadmiun
Burnt red Cadmiun + Prussian Blue

    Basemix + Basic Skintone
Previous highlight mix + Basic Skintone
Previous highlight mix + Basic Skintone (a bit lighter)
    Pure Basic Skintone
    Basic Skintone + Ivory

I am still waiting. I live in Missouri, not far from Oklahoma. Hopefully I will get it before weekend. Unfortunately we have some snow falling down right now and that may cause further delays, ehhh.
