    Thanks Zastrow, appreciate your comments and appreciate all the information. I do have some of the photos you posted but will add the others to my reference. The blue tunic I have painted on the pilot is probably not quite as vivid blue as the photo but is still more vivid than the photos you sent me. Always a bit tricky sometimes when painting figures ,sometimes between the real uniform and painting it in miniature especially 54mm to make it pop ,a bit of personal preference too. Totally understand where you are coming from Zastrow(y)

    Very nice work John, even if the blue tunic is not 'official' colour. good luck with him at Euro. It's a great feeling having an entry at this great competition. I now have had 5 entries in the comp. With only visiting once in 2006. Thanks to Steve Kirtley for my proxy entry this year.
