French 3rd Hussar Completed

    Finally completed this fellow from Le Cimier now OOP.

    I followed the box art but the purists out there will realise that the base should have been a grey blue, hey-ho I'm not painting it again:rolleyes: Critique welcome, anyone any tips for painting hair in various colours? I found that really difficult.

    Looks good Keith ,very clean painting , re hair ? burnt umber ,raw umber ,raw Sienna ,gold ochre , usual trick get the undercoat right apply oils thinly and let it shine thru ,you wont lose the detail that way and you can pick up the highs when all is dry almost like dry brushing but with oils
