Well, actually my first bust experience was 40 years ago when I was 15 but that's a completely different subject.

Funny, I thought a bust would be a little easier because of the size but that was very wrong.
The plinth is a 7.62 X 54 spent shell casing fired from my personal 1930 dated Mosin Nagant.

Also a special thanks to Dave at Last Cavalry for the fast shipping and to DEL for the nameplate idea.

Delving into 75mm for the next couple projects.

    Lovely painting.

How was the casting on this guy?
I recently done an Alexandros Steiner and the casting was pretty bad.

    Again, great job.

Very nicely painted bust. I watched Enemy At The Gates again last night and was struck by the likeness of this bust to Jude Law's character in the movie.

For a first (or is that second) effort at busts, its a beauty. I think you may have found your sweet spot!

Hi Gells, The casting was OK. Had a few pits to fill but nothing to bad. Still can't believe they forgot the bolt handle for the rifle though.
