Been using this app for a couple of weeks now to great hilarity, until my old self looked no different to my current self....... gutted

It's all very damned clever.....how on earth is it done on so many different painting styles ? Or is it a frighteningly clever and cunning computer thingy ? You must explain to a befuddled technophobe,...namely me

It's really simple Alan.
you click on faceapp logo and a black screen comes up
with a face outline.
you select from Faces or all photos and all the images you have in your phone/computer directory are displayed as a grid.
clicking on any image it brings the photo into the screen and using face recognition software it matches in, a choice of 2 smiles, older younger and female male otions are also there.
so that's how it does it, but no idea how the software actually functions.
I am convinced it's one of many dark arts I will use....
but I am not asking how !
