Hello All,
A start on an M24/29 Gunner around Dien Bien Phu,scale 1/10 bust.The M1 helmet is a nightmare to get right from any angle from hand that is,not computer done,whatever.

There stunning 3D work, of course, but they lack the "hand" touch of sculptor!!

Hard or not I think you've cracked it mate, lovely sculpt. I think you need to do more Jocks though.

Stick with it mate & keep fine tuning that detail like you've done on his helmet..

I have a number of actual M1 helmets sitting right before me in my collection, including several swivel bail, rear seam 50's-60's era ones, and your sculpt comes as close as any of the better interpretations I've seen. Very nice figure forming up there!

Love the pose too. A common pose we rarely see in miniature.
