    Hello,

here is a update about the buildingprogress of the gates of Hougoumont.
The groundbase is ready. The wall and gate are ready.

    Now painting the French figures.

May be, someone can me help for good uniformreferences for the French officer with axe. Not sure about some details.

Awesome job on the gates and groundwork! Definitely one of my favorite events from Napoleonic Wars. Well recall a large 54mm diorama done years ago by Bob Kinberger, New Orleans based painter which was displayed at La Petite Soldier and featured in an issue of Military Modeler. Anyone who attempts this scene has some grit in their soul as it is very time consuming! Kudos to you Ben-ni... Can't wait to see yours completed! Thanks for sharing!(y)

This is looking great so far Ben. Love the wet/damp effects. Only 11 figures to go and you'll be finished!

Have to agree totally with Tony's comments above, I'm really looking forward to seeing this completed...and as Larry Grayson would have said "Shut that door" (er...gate)!

The gates are phenomenal; love the dampness effects that you achieved. Look forward to seeing the figures come to life. May I ask what size is your base? This will be a future project for me.

The size of the working base 30 cm. To protect for dust I add a display 30cmx30cmx30cm.

Fantastic work on the gate, all aspect of the base directly calling for figurines. I look forward to the resulting diorama. Great work so far :).

    Cheers Borek
