Now for sometyhing a little different, Danish Dragoons c.1850 during the 1st Schleswig War.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Schleswig_War

These are 30mm figs from http://www.zinnfiguren-rieger.de/

It's taken me two weeks to get this far, the penny has finally dropped that to get the best results from oils a little patience is required. :D
They are just on temporary painting bases but the arrangement is how they should look on proper base when completed.

    Roger.

The layout is looking good. Oil's are the way to go though.

Nice project Roger, definitively something different from what you are used to paint.
    Will follow as usual.
    Best regards

Bob, Daniel, thanks very much. :)

Very nice Roger , I wouldn't have the patience to paint several figures the same especially in 30mm but they do always look nice in a group.

Thanks Claude, I won't lie it's difficult to keep up the interest in a group all in the same uniform, especially 30mm but I'm beginning to think I need some fleeing Schleswig-Holsteiners. :D

I used to paint whole regiments of Hinchcliffe 25mm figures for wargamers , now that is seriously soul destroying and even complete armies

Hang in there with the oils Rog and remember less is more and the drying time will speed up and you won't have to bake them :)
Perhaps a Pegaso 75mm mounted hussar would enhance your patience no end  or destroy you :ROFLMAO:

Cheers Ron, I'm quite capable of destroying myself with what I've got here without a 75mm mounted Pegaso. :D

I'm with Ron... There's nothing more soul-sucking than painting whole armies of 28mm wargame figs. I had a painting service for wargamers about 20 years ago. I finally packed it in when a guy dropped off 600 15mm Confederates to be painted in various shades of grey and butternut... I don't think I have fully recovered from it, even after all these years :wacky:

These 8 should be a breeze

    Get 'em done!

600???? 15 mm???? And nearly recovered??? Great. Then "only" 8 would be for Roger nothing. Great start and I think all 8 together on a base would be good

Still working away on these, I'm not sure if this is project No.1 or No.6 or somewhere between.
