This is very unusual technics of sculpting - to make a figurine from head to bottom and use not mannnekin.
Could you say some words about pre-sculpting planning: do you make scetches or photos from the film or you have finished plan of his pose in your head or start to sculpt having no plan?
    Regards

Thanks for your comments, Wong, and Joe.
Mark you don't have to desside sculpt, only take a piece of clay and start to play. ;)
    Regards, Alex.

Hello Doctor, Yes, my work way is very unusual, I preffer start whit head becouse is easyer for me see the proportion of all body next.
I do not need draw a sketch, only in my brain, but the details are going "borning" in progress, and in all cases the final work is different to firsth idea, sometimes better or sometimes worst...
In some cases coppy the pose of photos only (like the last Samuray).
But, in Custer I've made a sketch because I was inserested to show this to my Spanish friend Pablo Roig who has studyed this period, and help me whit photos and comments to Custer.
    This is the image...
    Regards, Alex

Thanks again, Jim and Anders, I think is easyer sculpt if you can draw before... but, is not a law... I worked like ilustrator some years ago (before computer design programs ) But, nothing compares to make 3D figures, a draw is an ilussion, but you can touch 3D work...

Show us another step of Custer, The torso in a few progress and preparing the left leg, you can see something of body position...

    I´m working...

    Alex.
