Hi all

I have asked for a commission of a figure as I really don't think I can paint one in time,
this is the quote,

£65.00 to purchase the figure
£70.00 to have it professionally painted
£10.00 for the wooden base
£10.00 for the groundwork
£10.00 for the plaque,

lets say £30.00 postage, total cost would be £195.00

that's a wee bit out my price range at the moment , I know WOB , do them,
Do you know anywhere else ? ,
also , because of personal mishaps , I have left it too late , but , there is a place next street from me , that can Chrome a figure for me , has anyone ever seen this ?
I`m getting desperate now , lol

I doubt they could chrome (as in proper chrome) a resin figure, what exactly do you need ? If it's a metal effect, IE brass/bronze you could paint it quite quickly using washes. Here's a couple I've done

both those busts are brilliant especially the 2nd link.
as for the chroming , yes it is chrome , its a 2 day process using a lot of DI water , then metallic wash , electroplate , then the chrome process
to get that done would be approx. £110
