    Hi all!

    :)

    Finally got this finished!!
I don't like the pics so may well reshoot and I've spotted a couple of small bits needing a tidy up but essentially it's done!!

A word of advive if your doing this kit, add the fence at the very end!
I painted it up and glued it into the socket on the base, tacked the cross bars and then used a hair dryer to warm up the post and gently pushed it into position.

Once happy everything is glued and secure ( I hope ) :)

As always it's just acrylics, no metallics and as matt as I can get it :)

Please feel free to comment, crit or correct ( though corrections will need to be tiny lol ) :)

Dam, now you've made me want to buy this figure, albeit my paint job will be nowhere as good as yours :)
    Cheers

I've always liked your rendition of this one, now I really like it. Such a good job all round.

What I find particularly appealing it that the paint work looks really balanced. None of this extreme highlight/shade mularky going on.

One for the scrapbook mate. Those skin tones are spot on.

    Thank you all!!

Yes this will be at Euro and I'll be bunging it in the comp :)

Steve... funny you should ask for colour mixes :)
The commissioner of this piece has also bought the Grenadier miniatures box-art piece I did earlier this year.... So I used my own blog to do the mixes on this piece LOL!

    Find the mixes here

The pictures... When I shot the first set I used a main light at upper right and a fill light at lower left.... however the fill light was way too low so it cancelled out the shadows a wee bit too much.
The re shoot I moved the fill light to just above the top of the figure . I think it looks better.
FYI I use the light heavily diffused with tissue paper and shoot each shot with the lens stopped right down.

    f11 with a 5 second exposure on 100 iso....

So here are some better pictures :)
