A new soldier in progress... the original head was the Elite's Gendarme whom I removed the "rackets" redoing with the putty the bonnet a poil. The arms have been changed.

How nice to see someone looking at other Napoleonic subjects apart from the obvious ones.

I love the uniforms of Italian and Neapolitan troops.

I started, as usual, from the face. I gave a base of acrylic paint and then I paint with oils. Even the bonnet a poil was painted first with acrylic and, subsequently, washed with oils.

It goes on with the painting ... I painted jacket and pants with acrylic paints (Vallejo and Andrea). Base: Black Green (980 V) then brightened with Napoleonic Green (NAC-10). For the lights I added a bit of Olive Green (V) and Japan Uniform (V 70923). For the shadows I added Black Green. The accoutrements instead painted in oil on acrylic base. I used a mixture of Titanium White, T.O.B., Ochre and T.S.B.
Are welcome, as always, advice and criticism !!

Very nice indeed, and a neat conversion(y) He'd look great beside a piece of artillery or limber, but will work just as well as a "stand- alone" piece. Well done.
