The saber is mounted on the figure!

Just a shame that the very well-done scabbard will later be almost completely hidden by the sheepskin coat of the Cossack...
At the very end I had to find that the brown saber handle is no longer like that!
The brown is barely visible against the dark blue background of the caftan and also not " gorgeous " enough.
So I created the sword handle with these colors ...

    ... Repainted in " light wood " ... :

Andy has given the figure a gorgeous slung sheepskin coat on the way ... :

The coat is inspired by the Cossack in Repin's famous painting... :

Today is " the moment of truth ", because the sheepskin coat is adapted.

This thing has to fit exactly at five points : On the shoulders / upper arms, shoulder bag and the last at the end of the scabbard .

In addition, no crack should open up of the top at the shoulder area to the rifle .
Now I 'll see if I have previously worked clean!

What shall I say?In the shoulder area a bit of rework was necessary , the shell had to be slightly tapered to the inside ... :

After that, it fits perfectly - here it is attached with carpet tape times tentatively at the figure ... :

Unfortunately, the pictures turned out badly dark again today - but there 's is now time unfortunately again " gray on gray " ...

First of all I have now resculpted a few points on the inside that will later be visible.
The positions marked with red arrows points are to the filling some holes , in which in addition to the green arrows also a matter of sculpting a little fur after
    [IMG]
For this type of work this 2-component filler has proved very successful for me ... :
Actually meant to eliminate body quirks ( rockfall dents, parking bumps ) , this filler is also very good for the figure building , it " tolerates " with resin and white metal , cures quickly and is then very easy to sand .
While the small holes were simply filled and smoothed , I made the fur as :It was applied a little filler and quickly incorporated with an old toothbrush .
I could have done all this , of course, with "Milliput" , but the filler hardens much faster and I wanted today to prime the coat.
Then the shell is moved in an ultrasonic bath and was then primed ... :

    Following closely Martin!
What glue do you use for resin figs? Superglue or Epoxi? Or both?
    Cheers,

I'm starting today to trying to paint the inside of the sheepskin jacket.
Before painting , there is once again Research.

Our friend wearing the fur side out , so I must now clarify how because the inside , the leather should look .

I want the coat to paint als "blacksheep" and the skin of those sheeps look to black and brownish ...

And so is it also painted.

    I take it these colors ... :

And now it looks like this...:

    With these colors ...

...I have painted today the "sheepskin" in the interior of the coat.

With light and shade I must be carefull at the inside - I'm just left with the lights as far as I think I can represent it. On the outside, it will later be considerably more!

The cladding close I painted with the same colors as the surrounding tresses at the caftan ...:

And so it has become ...:

Right now in the - enlarged - pictures I see that I have overlooked a small spot when painting at the bottom.

This I will do right now...

    98 Day 26 March 2014

Hood and sleeves of the sheepskin coat are finish painted.

The lights of the "black" coat go up to the pure white.

And so the whole thing looks now ...:

The color connection to the earlier painted coat-parts lying around his neck fits perfectly ...:
