That's shaping up real well...... I know it's in progress but here goes.
    1. Be brave with the shading, I think you could afford to 'hollow' out the cheeks, neckline under the jaw and from the bridge of the nose and along under the eyes.
    2. Put a tiny, and I mean tiny, dot of any crimson oil paint just under the tip of the nose and work it to give a very very very light redness to the 'bulb' of the nose. Makes a huge difference so long as you don't overdo it. Doing it as a wet on dry stain means that you can always wipe it off if you don't like it.
    3. A bit darker round the edge of the iris.
Wyatt Earp the Rick Grimes of Tombstone :D ...... c'mon the zombies

Seriously getting there fast now mate.
    Cheers

Thanks Del will try that out, what would you suggest as the best way to hollow out the cheeks a dab of paynes grey ala stubble?

Definitely not Paynes Grey, tendency to risk ending up with a grubby look.
Suggest Madder Brown initially mixed with your base flesh mix and then gradually add more as you get to the deeper shaded areas. Finally add a tiny amount of Indigo to your final flesh mix and work a miniscule dot of this to the deepest areas carefully blending into the shaded area.

As per Del's advice worked on the face, I may have overdone the red nose, but will see how it settles down over time. Hat is just popped on for effect. In your own time go on.
