Interesting, would pass muster for a figure from the 30 Years' War too. The Civil War wasn't just an English affair, there was much fighting in Scotland and Ireland too. Some historians now refer to it as the War of the Three Kingdoms.

Fair comment. Wales was a Royalist stronghold, if I remember correctly.

Indeed it was and though I'm no expert I believe that there was a siege at Raglan castle and battles at Monmouth and St. Fagans.
