Seeing Ron's horse painting sbs really put me in the mood for a spot of horse painting myself so when I got home I chose a suitable candidate from the stash.
This is a 45mm flat depicting Albrecht von Wallenstein 1583-1634.
The horse is still in progress but the oils used so far are,
    Vandyke Brown
    Burnt Umber
    Naples Yellow
    Titanium White

on top of an undercoat of a sandy colour from Vallejo, sorry I can't be more specific than that the name has rubbed off the label.

    The armour should fun too.

Thanks Keith. They're fallen in on my bench about 30 deep, however only a few will make it. Hopefully this will be one of them.... and the Austrians I started last time on leave.

Looks great so far, Roger. I really like the horse colour and that segmented armour should definitely be fun to paint.

Ok Roger, he's a tad larger than what you've managed lately so I expect more details :D!
