Hi to all. This one of my latest works. I always wanted to paint this, and finally I did it, one of my favorite busts. I think is a best seller from Andrea, I´ve seen some, here at planet Figure. All painted using acrylics.
    All comments welcome.

Nice job - particularly the worn leather.
A touch more battle grime would make it perfect

A wonderful rendition of this classic bust. Indeed, I think this bust has become a "right of passage" for most figure modellers at some stage over the past few years.

    Thank you very much, mates.
Nap, the mix I used for the black tunic is a mixture of black, ocher and dark brown, I added a bit of white for the light tones and then I adde dirt and weather effects with more ocher, and brown.
The mix for the flesh is ocher, dark brown, red and white for the base, playing with those proportions the result can be more or less pinkish, or yellowish, or dun.
This time I went into pinkish tones.
The helmet is a dark brown base, and then I added free and randomly different shades of silver, to imitate the "frayed" effect.

    Beautifully done.

Got to agree- classic - but also such a common sight that I would love to see some one doing something different with it. Mark S was making a crossbow some time ago - and I dont know how that project ended, I must have missed it in the end.
Helm's longbow was also a cool idea.
