So, i have my second Patreon raffle results! I`m not surprised at all, getting Aeris from my magic hat. Midgar flower girl got 7 tickets, while other two entries got oly one each! So be it.
I got idea of this project at the start of 2014. After success of Haviland Tuf i was eager to try myself in mid-scale sculpting. I really liked FF7 back then in 1998, when i played it firs time, and since then i facinated by those cool and stylish characters. Just few years later japanese game industry (and WORLD game industry after it) went for fan-service characters, where girls have higly sexual-agressive looks, and the men... Well, sometimes it is hard to distinguish them from girls, looking to their faces and outfits. I really like fan-service, when it comes to the girls, but last years it`s too much even for my taste.

So, i`m stopped gaming, but still wanted to spent some time with my favorite characters. Thanks God, my work offers me such opportunity. Second thing - this year FF7 will got official remake. It was long 20 years, we have seen LOTS of remakes, but this, probably, will blow the world. Anyway, i will NOT play it, but i will sculpt and paint that sweet flower girl, and you will see most of the process here.

Who is Aeris? Just try to google her - she is a one of most famous japanese game character. Lots of people do not ever played Final Fantasy series, but most of them know that Aeris DIES!!1 You will have a chance to know more, when the FF7 remake hits the shops all around the Planet.

Now, about the figure. Aeris is 65mm tall, but her features are more like that of 54mm, at least, i wanted somewhat realistic look. This is the first female face, sculpted by me, and i like how it comes. My big thanks to Feael https://www.patreon.com/feael for the title pic! before some really heavy update, lemme show you some previous stages of Aeris. Some of them were made in 2014, - you can easily destinguish these pics, as the figure is not overbaked with air heater =)
i used some M. Kontraros dress-a-doll hands. those are only parts, not modelled by me. i will be grateful for your patreon support https://www.patreon.com/user?u=401971[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Wow, I have so much admiration and respect for sculptors. It's such a painstaking process you have to go through to realise your vision. I think us painters have it easy.

Looks like that elfen bronchytes got me. Now i have to sculpt thigs like this. At least, til i`ll have got enough money to mantain an exaust-pipe to blow the dust away. Well, stuff happens, hope i can get over it without staining my boots too much. Anyway, my project goes on well. Here is moar Aeris. The hands are almost finished, so the basket is an only feature left.

Aeris really goes well, all cus of that awesome Tamiya putty. Yes, now i`m feeling myself like a sculptor, rather like a pile of shit. Anyway, there are not so much parts left to finish. Also, i have sterted to set up her surroundings. I have a lot of worthless sci-fi bits on my hands, so all ot this will go into action. I left my previous idea to build an exact copy of the game scene, as i`m not not rich enough to buy/make all this parts needed. Also, the large scene call for a lots of characters, and by now i can`t afford to build such a big scene. Althought, with my patrons` support i bought that Nutsplanet air cooler =). Well, hope i have enough skill to bring Aeris to Midgar and not to some strange and unfamilliar town. Also, i have almost finished the flower basket!

Look, that`s really lots of content this week. I know, you heard that before, but i almost finished her. Most of work is related to the base from now on. That basket was a real madness...

Aeris finished. After some minor cleaning up i`ll put her on a painting base and will concentrate on her surroundings.
