Dear Planeteers,

A fried of mine, Heinz Frieben from Austria, is currently sculpting a bust für me in scale 1/10.

It will show General-Adjutant and Admiral of the Fleet Evgeni Alexeev, the former Commander in Chief of the Russian Fareast Region at the times of the russo-japanese war.



Although he was neither noble nor grand duke, Alexeev held this high position, since he was an illegitimate son of Tsar Alexander II, and thus an uncle of the reigning Tsar Nikolai II.

I have sent my friend the following detail pictures showing the "hermaphrodite" uniform Alexeevs, which has both insignia of an admiral as well and those of an imperial General Adjutant...:

I am really looking forward to painting this splendor!
This will be my next Project after finishing my actually Bolshewik-Cossack - and of course I will Show it here als a "step-by-step diary".

Great work, it is really nice, very well detailed. I love it. Please, don´t be cheapskate and make copies for sell, I´m sure that a lot of us, are interested on it.

The head of my "Iwan Sirko" bust - five years ago......:








It is a very boldly rebuilded bust by "Young" in 1:10 scale.

The shirt, the gun, the Nagaika whip and the sash - instead of the leather belt - are sculpted by myself.

And the fine new head (after historical templates for his skull was founded and his face reconstructed by Russian scientists!)...





...makes the bust rocking!

I love to own such single pieces!


But I think, Admiral Alexeev is the very best sculptwork of Heinz ever!
