Hello friends, Here is a brief description of how I paint a face. and the head is 1/9 bust Black Jack which I painted few weeks ago for Model Cellar's box art. I hope you will not be confused by my poor english

Attached photo is the used colours. As you already know I always only use Josonja's acrylics. Though it doesn't appear in the photo I also used 'Plum Pink'

First of all I always prime my figures with Mr.hobby's Mr.super clear(flat).

I recommend this method as a good way to get properly smooth surface for acrylic paints.

When the primer has dried, I paint carbon black as base colour.

Once the base colour has dried is time to paint eyes

Adding some Skintone base + Plum pink + French blue I get a shadows on the eyes

Leaving the trim of pupil as black base coat, I add some colours on it

I add smaller circles of Carbon black on the center of pupils
and some white as reflected light

Now let’s go with lights & shadows on skintone

Honestly I don't know what to say about my painting from this step

Because I don't apply lights & shadows in a certain way like ' adding second lights after first light'

So I can give you only pics from this step
