    Hello,

this is my new work in progress - two last days were really busy...

Please meet John 'Long Nose' Smith... A Sergeant Major from 71st Higlanders... this is of course work in progress. The tunic needs some final detailing (buttons etc.)
I plan to finish him this weekend... The face it just sketched so far... and as you can see it needs a little bit of work ;).

    Hi Piotr,

    Looking good my friend

Will he have a sword hilt showing personally I think it would be great if his arms were extended to show his rank badges

    Dicing around his shako ?

Perhaps include a cane as well ?

    Keep sculpting

    Thanks for sharing

Hi Piotr, looks great, I agree with Nap, the rank badges would really set this piece off.

    Hello,

thank you for all your comments! This one remains without arms, but maybe another grenadier in the near future will have it...

That is a good idea with the cane :).
I will see whether is a possibility to extend a little bit his arms ;)

Nice work Piotr, I know you say it's a work in progress, but the details you have finished look great. Is the long nosed face from a real historical character or made up?
    Best wishes, Gary.

    Hello,

Gary, crf thanks - this long nose character is made up, but it is always for me easier to sculpt a someone's face when I put there a personality... :).

Very nice bust, did you use thin wire for the wings? Good luck with this character.
