Thanks Marc and Colin. Its a really nice kit but I kept dropping and breaking the rider. So I hadto mount him up and will paint most of the kit from here forward as a single assembly.

Is this another Senior thing? A bad case of the Droppsies? Maybe one of those "third hand" clamps if you can't trust the first two ;)

You're gonna beat me up on the 7th aren't you? :blackeye::nailbiting:

i hate drilling pins into figures. I will happily drop them instead. Probably a senior thing.

I am perpetually guilty of not drilling figure parts together. The last trip my Waterloo dio made... when I opened the travel box, it looked like Texas Chainsaw Massacre... both riders broke at every joint.
The big positive of resin figs... no weight! Unlike me :sour:

This is looking awesome my friend!
The lace and braiding is spot on, green is perfect and the buff breeches look very natural.

Hating you just a bit now ;)

Really good. I have always wanted to do this subject but due to poor engineering I think I will do it from scratch one day. I will be closely following your painting of the horse.

Paul - Ivo did a really nice major conversion of this using his usual approjach. I agree that the engineering on this kit is strange and challenging but the detail is really nice, as is the overall demeanour of the piece.

Colin, another astonishing work as we are already expecting coming from you.
The green looks great!, such a difficult color, it is on my list of "bitches" to piant, along with yellow and red.
    Keep up the good work.
    I follow.

Thanks for the kind words. FYI the fur on his pelisse us way over sculpted for the scale. I tried to remedy this with paint, adding lateral painted lines of fur onto the major clumps to break them up a bit. I used the Scale 75 B&W set, which I really like for the nice brown greys included. I will likely use this a lot on the dapple grey horse too.

About to start the shabraque. Here is a nice research shot I found.

Blimey Colin what lengths will you go to to get accuracy on the shabraque????
Really looking forward to your next installment.
