    Morning all
A little more progress, adding the first layer of khaki to the service jacket , I will keep adding a greener tinge to the khaki as i go along . This first layer is very rough to give a textured appearance which i will keep working up with added layers of the colour.
I will start the flesh tones on the face in oils over the next day ot two then finish the jacket
    Cheers

That is first class work Al. The Australian uniform during the Great War was a slightly green shade of khaki.

Superb painting Al. I love the khaki colour of the tunic. I'm looking forward to seeing the subtle differences in the khaki colours you use for the trousers.

Have begun laying down the flesh tones using W&N oils, first coat done, will let this dry for a few days before slowly adding more colour tones and five o'clock shadow and darkening the eyebrows a little more depending on how dark they look when dry .Have also added more texture to the jacket , have just noticed some oils on the jacket pocket this will be fixed before next photos
    Thanks for looking
    Cheers
