working on the new Metal Modeles eagle-bearer I decided to make a version with small change ..

the figure is almost the original kit except
horse has the anterior left leg advanced and new head from another kit of the same brand.
The mane was resculpted only for personal pleasure

the boy has the head turned left with a little work on the collar
the most important work was on the pelisse to make him fall better on the saddle

So, so good Ivo - I really enjoy seeing your models, both unpainted as you build them and the painted version.

This is already looking like another little masterpiece. I will be interested to see what colour mix you use for the uniform, Ivo.

    Hi Alan

that's the most difficult answer... I don't have any fixed mix for the colors... anyway I will try to explain

I'm looking forward to seeing this develop - in particular the colour mix for the iron grey uniform (just like Alan).

    Cheers

the horse painted.... it's a warm grey. I choose to paint this color to balance and contrast the grey of the uniform

    as usually in oils

Nice warm grey horse Ivo. Question : do you attach all the harnessing before you paint and where do you get that copper , looks a lot better than the limp stuff that comes with the kits

    hi Ron

yes I assembly all the harnessing before painting. I got the copper in a art shop, it's normally used to b carved.

It's sold in foil but with patience you can cut the strips as for the lead. For sure is much better because is more rigid and has better shape memory.

here the guy, it was painted completely assembled as for the picture

the hard question is how I did the grey... I used black, blue, white, some earth color mixing them and higligting adding white
