    Marc, Pedro, thanks fella's
I think the headress is properly called a pagri and perhaps has a more specific name. Tom "Red Tom" Cunningham will know...Tom where are you?

Coming along nicely Roger. I have been very busy lately as am painting 100 of these turbanned heads. I am glad I persuaded Ken to make them. I am also trying to get Ken to sell the heads seperately in sets of 5 or 6 as I think they will sell, what do you think now you have painted one?
For your info, headdress is called either a pagri or a lungi, the pointed cap underneath is a kullah and the round cap of a Sikh is a pag.

Thanks very much Tom and I'm glad you persuaded Ken aswell. This is a great subject, colourful and interesting. The Grandfather of the Chief Engineer on my ship served in the Poona Horse pre and during the last war, hopefully he is going to bring some photo's back next trip.
I think and hope they sell well but I would recommend a painting guide for the different regiments that it is able to depict for those like me who don't have much ref. material on the subject.
Thanks for the terminology Tom, I knew you wouldn't let me down. (y)

I've made some good progress today. The main things left to do are the sash & medals. Then it's tweaking time. [IMG]
