200mm bust Sergeant Ewart, Scots Greys, Waterloo 1815 -MMM

  1. MMM A Fixture

    Hi folks

    This is a preview of one of our Euromilitaire 2014 releases.
    Sculpted by Maurice Corry for MMM is this 200mm bust
    depicting Sergeant Ewart of the Scots Greys at the Battle of
    Waterloo 1815, capturing the Regimental eagle of the
    French 45th Regiment of the Line.

    This figure will be available at Euromilitaire 2014,
    Kits will cost £60 however will be included in our 200mm
    special offer of any 2 for £110 or any 3 for £150.

    There is a second variation of this figure which will be previewed
    later next week.

    It would have to be a big un Mike this is a whopper of a kit as it is. I may have an old rocking horse in the attic which might do.

    this may be the case as I remember seeing it in Edinburgh Castle many years ago before it lost its colour and I,m sure it had all the letters.It should also have a set of streamers and cords and to be realy nit picky his bearskin should have an oilskin cover (but it would be a shame to cover it up) and I am almost certain as a sergeant he did,nt carry a carbine and in action it would be strapped to the saddle.These are minor points and do,nt detract from a great figure or stop me buying it

    I,m sorry but I have to point out a particular error in the figure.The Grey were unique in the heavy cavalry in that they alone wore short wrist length gloves as can clearly be seen in the Deighton Painting which is generaly acceptedas the most accurate.I,m sorry to point these things out but it is my old regiment and therefort of special interest to me
