On 17/19 June 2016, at Empoli, at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Piazza Guido Guerra, will take place on 1st Italian Modellism Championship . The event is organized by the CIMS in collaboration with the Association ASCEV. The CIMS now has 75 member associations, with hundreds of associated modellers. It is the only modellism's associations coordination not only in the Italian but also in the world.
The Italian league, which is also unique in the international scene, meant to represent a moment of synthesis and further development of the work done so far. An appointment that was created to unite a world that is in this hobby the reasons of being together, of sociality, the sharing of experience, the passion for knowledge. In the days of the competition, hundreds of models, small works of art, will compete and will be admired by visitors; small reproductions that will open a window into our history, making us relive important moments of our past, and allow you to take a look also to the worlds of fantasy and science fiction.
The Italian league is divided into the various branches of the model: historical models, figurines and fantasy vehicles, military vehicles, civilian vehicles, aircraft, ships, dioramas and vignettes. A qualified jury will award prizes to the various participants. They will present the sector companies and publishing houses, with the presentation of premieres, demonstrations of wargames, historical reconstruction groups; also held meetings and discussions, modeling internships, various exhibitions. Admission to the exhibition is free.
