Nice paint, but the sculpture is not good, special the right arm holding the lancer, is terrible..:wtf:

Rodrigo - I'm glad you like Eduardo's painting! I think it's terrific myself!

I respect and appreciate your comment about the arm. The pose is tricky. The idea was that the Lancer was trying desperately to get his lance into position to fight with an enemy in close quarters. I guess it didn't come off as intended.

    All the best,
    Dan

Very well painted, but I would agree about the right arm. The pennant would not have been used in the field. For those interested in a WW1 lancer, I would recommend the Victory Miniatures 16th Lancer (http://victoryminiatures.co.uk/?id=models&pid=67).

Superb painting on display there. I agree with the comments about his right arm, and the horse's tail looks a bit strange. But otherwise I think it's a decent enough sculpt. I think I can see what Dan was trying to achieve with that arm (before he even explained it) but I don't think it quite works as a static pose, it just looks awkward.

I have to agree, that arm looks eye poppingly awkward. It definitely detracts from the rest, but the painting is great.

Lovely painting - now I know what the sculptor was doing with the lance and the story he is telling it makes sense to me though it isn't the most elegant pose.

    Cheers
