Hi, I'm no weapon expert but is very interested in the weapon the soldier is holding.... You said he's a sniper.... But when I look at the size of the weapon's barrel, I can't get my mind away to think it's some sort of a anti-tank weapon...

Pls help provide more info of your sniper rifle....

    Thanx in advance,
    CPTan

.50 calibre sniper rifles are used for anti-materiel sniping as well as on human targets (including targets behind cover - inside vehicles, behind walls).

They are fairly common in military sniping these days, having been around for over 20 years now. They fire .50 BMG rounds, often purpose made for sniping.

A rifle of this calibre holds the record for the longest confirmed kill, in Afghanistan, at 2.4 km.
